Que faire avec des restes de laine...

Avant de commencer à tricoter frénétiquement les cadeaux de noel, en esperant être prete pour le 24 (ça devrait être bon), on a commencé un projet familial de "réduction du stock de laine", i.e. la Sock yarn Blanket!
En effet, à plusieurs tricoteuses dans la famille, il restait pas mal de pelotes de laine toutes seules dont on ne savait quoi faire. On avait bien pensé à faire une couverture en carrés au crochet, mais la perspective de rentrer tout ces fils, et de coudre tout ces carrés... La "Blankie" est parfaite car les carrés se montent les uns dans les autres.

Before I started knitting all the Chrismas gifts, desparatley trying to be on time for the 24th December (which seems that it will be ok), I started working on a new project, to reduce the Yarn Stock; Together with my family, we started working on the "Sock yarn Blanket! ".

Indeed, being several knitters in the family, we had no idea of what to do with the single yarn balls left. We thought about crochetting a blanket, made of small squares, but after thinking about all the sewing... and then we found out the Blankie. It's perfect for this kind of project.

C'est très divertissant à tricoter, 31 mailles à chaque fois, et on peut improviser à chaque carré. 

Chacune tricote une partie de la couverture, et on coudra tout ça ensemble quand ce sera fini!

Et vous, vous avez des plans vous débarrasser des restes de laine?

It's very very fun to knit, we can find new ideas for each of the squares. Each of us is knitting a piece of the blankie, and we'll sew it at the end.

And you, do you have such project to get rid of all the yarn left?
